Climate Change Daily VId Oct 12 2017: Solar Geoengineering? What could possibly go wrong?

Can geoengineering save the planet from climate change?

One company, Climeworks, reckons it now costs about $600 to extract a tonne of carbon dioxide from the air and the plant’s full capacity due by the end of 2017 is only 900 tonnes a year. That’s equivalent to the annual emissions of only 45 Americans.

Although David Keith Environmental scientist also proposes a cheap, effective, shocking means to address climate change:
What if we injected a huge cloud of ash into the atmosphere to deflect sunlight and heat?
